Description
Plateau Herbicide is one of the most flexible herbicides available, allowing you to achieve multiple objectives, depending on your specific needs. It can be used on rangeland (government), conservation land and non-cropland areas, including railroad, roadside and utility. Whatever your challenge, Plateau® Herbicide offers the results you’re looking for.
For reliability and versatility, nothing beats Plateau. Plateau Herbicide provides long-term suppression of common roadside grasses like tall fescue, Bahiagrass and smooth bromegrass – as well as invasive and noxious species like cheatgrass and leafy spurge. This herbicide also helps release and establish native grasses and wildflowers. And, fall applications of Plateau helps effectively control cheatgrass, a primary source of major fires in the West each year.
This herbicide will control annual and perennial grasses, broadleaf weeds and vine species. When weeds are controlled desirable forage is able to flourish.
It can be applied either preemergence or postemergence. However, a postemergence application is the method of choice in most situations. Refer to the label for specific recommendations.
Plateau Herbicide is so effective because its active ingredient is absorbed through the leaves and is translocated throughout the plant into the deepest roots of perennial and summer annual weed species. It also provides residual control, which prevents annual grasses from germinating. Plus, Plateau Herbicide affects an enzyme found only in plants, not in humans, animals, birds, insects or fish.
Features:
- Lower annual mowing costs when applying Plateau in the spring while smooth bromegrass and thistles are actively growing
- Increase your roadside aesthetics by regulating smooth bromegrass browth on road shoulders, medians and underneath guardrails or guide rails
- Increase available man-hours due to improved operational efficiencies
